absolute/relative

Of course, we cannot reflect on absolutes before believing that the absolute is, which is not to say that the absolute exists since existence may be defined precisely as the relative, but that the absolute is transcendent to existence as such. This is one of the major confusions of modern thought, this inabilty to distinguish between existence and being, between the relative and the absolute, between ethics and morals. It is also the reason that the laws of relativity can  never frame justice.

Yesterday hurrah for the Greeks - today Oy Veh!

How sad for the Greek people is the refusal of the Oligarchs to allow them to express their righteous anger in a referendum. Now they will become more deeply embroiled in debt and completely lose their ethnicity as Europe descends into feudalism

Stunted Lives!

When we observe humanity in the city we can see so much human potential gone to waste, so many stunted lives of people whose fulfillment as social beings has been stolen from them, stolen from all of us, our wealth and our common humanity appropriated by a wealthy elite who control all aspects of civil life, primarily through their ownership of the banks and the money supply and, through these institutions, the political power of every nation!

The Final Rebellion!

What we are witnessing in the occupation sit-ins is actually the beginnings of the final rebellion of the disenfranchised against the wealthy elite, who continue their steady advance towards their enslavement of the world's population. We are entering an extremely dangerous stage in the growth of human consciousness. As more and more of our people become aware of the present situation and join this rebellion against the conspiracy of the rich, a rebellion which, of necessity, cannot be focused or develop a leadership but must be joined by an existential commitment and personal acts of civil disobedience. Since the civil authorities are owned by the powerful elite they will use every means at their disposal to consolidate their rule. We can observe a manifestation of their power in the coordinated attacks by the established authorities on the various pockets of protesters in different cities across the United States. Be Warned!

such a mess!

This best of all possible worlds is murkily descending into a messy state. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle classes, invented by the autocratic powers in the age of enlightenment to keep the powerless at bay, are slowly but surely being whittled down to non-entityness. So goes the world and when and where will it end should be the question of questions. Violence is increasing, freedom is retreating, the entertainment industry is booming. Something is wrong, don't you think?

The necessity of reality

           We live in a world where human beings have declared everything to be relative. Reason and logic, tools of the human intellect with their extensions in physical theory, especially in mathematics, have sequestered the universe as their own physical domain, overpowering human instinct and intuition and dominating the human landscape,  imposing a rational semblance of order on human nature and on the natural world. Yet, behind this maelstrom of relative frames of reference we, of necessity, must acknowledge an absolute frame of reference that cannot be apprehended by the rational mind which reduces everything to relativity. In accepting this transcendent reality we liberate human consciousness from the confines of  relativity and an existence governed by rationality into the freedom of absolute being.

Faith and Trust

If we believe in an absolute transcendent being then we must also trust in that being. Instead, we believe in the absolute yet place our trust in the world of relative artifacts around us, in the time and space which are inventions of human reflection and reason. To place our trust absolutely in a transcendent being is difficult, but not impossible. “All things are possible to the one who believes.” But absolute trust in absolute being is also a necessity if we are to become like her and see her as she is. - (become like him and see him as he is.)
